GENERAL INFORMATION
Q. Does NCAA® March Madness® on Demand cost anything?
A. No. NCAA March Madness on Demand is completely free.
Q. What is the difference between "VIP" and "General Admission" Access?
A. VIP access is available to users who sign up for NCAA March Madness on Demand while supplies last. Users with VIP access will have a shorter wait through the "Waiting Room" on game day. Their line will move more quickly than those with General Admission access.
Q. When will archived games be available to watch?
A. Games will be archived and available to watch shortly after that game is over.
Q. What if I do not have broadband connection?
A. Unfortunately, you will not be able to watch live video but you can listen to the games through our live audio feed.
Q. Can I pay extra money to bypass long lines on game day?
A. No. 2008 NCAA March Madness on Demand is offered as a free product. There will be no premium level offered to allow users to pay for access that puts them at the front of the Waiting Room line.
Q. How does our company block access to MMOD?
A. Many businesses and organizations wish to prohibit access to NCAA March Madness on Demand. While we at CBSSports.com look at the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship as an opportunity to celebrate achievement and passion all across the country, we are also sensitive to business owners and network administrators who have concerns over allowing access to this very popular product. In order to prohibit access to MMOD, network administrators should block all http traffic to www.ncaasports.com/mmod/player.
Q. I forgot my Log-in ID and/or password. How can I retrieve that?
A. If you have a NCAAsports.com or CBSSports.com Log-in ID,
click here to access that information. If you forgot your password,
click here and your password will be reset and sent to the email address we have on record.
WAITING ROOM
Q. What is the "Waiting Room" and what is its purpose?
A. Capacity is great, but limited for NCAA March Madness on Demand. Due to overwhelming popular demand, the virtual arena will be full with lines forming in the Waiting Room on game day. During live games, users will be routed through the Waiting Room prior to viewing the live, streaming video.
Q. When will the Waiting Room open?
A. The Waiting Room will open shortly before the first game on Thursday, March 20.
Q. Why did I get bumped out of the Waiting Room?
A. There might be a few reasons why a user gets bumped from the Waiting Room.
You might not be logged in. Click here to log in to NCAA.com?
You are not registered for the product. Click here to sign up for NCAA March Madness on Demand
You attempted to enter the Waiting Room while you already were in line. Although it may be possible to have multiple video players running on your computer at one time, your Log-in ID can only be assigned one "ticket number" in the Waiting Room line at a time. If you have multiple Waiting Room windows open, your "ticket number" is based on the most recent one that you opened. In other words, you start at the back of the line everytime you enter the Waiting Room. To open multiple video players, you must be completely through the Waiting Room process and watching the video before re-entering the Waiting Room line.
Someone else entered the Waiting Room with your Log-in ID. Since a Log-in ID is only allowed to have one "ticket number" in the Waiting Room line at a time it is important that you do not allow other users to log in with your Log-in ID.
You tried to simultaneously log in with two different Log-in IDs. When you log in, a cookie is set to uniquely identify you as that user. By trying to log in with a second Log-in ID, your cookie status is reset to identify you as that second Log-in ID (the cookie always uses the most recent Log-in ID you logged in with). To access NCAA March Madness on Demand, please make sure to stay logged in with the same Log-in ID.
Q. Why isn't the Waiting Room properly displaying the lines for VIP Access or General Admission?
A. This may occur if you are using Internet Explorer and your browser settings are set to disable ActiveX. To properly view NCAA March Madness on Demand, you can either:
(PREFERRED OPTION) Adjust your Security settings (under "Tools" then "Internet Options") to enable ActiveX controls. This can be done by changing your custom level, or by changing the default level to "Medium"
Use a different browser like Mozilla Firefox 2.0
VIDEO PLAYER

Q. Why did I get bumped out of the video player?
A. To maximize performance within the video player, we will display a message every 30 minutes to check that you are still there. Q. How long will I be able to watch archived games?
A. Archived full game video, highlights, buzzer beaters, and full game audio will be available until Tuesday, April 21, 2008.
Q. Why do the buttons not work on the video player?
A. Live video cannot be paused. Clicking on player buttons may stop the video.
Q. Can I have multiple video players running simultaneously on my computer?
A. In addition to meeting the minimum system requirements, running multiple video players is possible but varies from computer to computer. It would require a fast internet connection with a computer that had a fast processor and a large amount of available RAM.
Q. Why is the scoreboard area not updating properly?
A. To view the live, updating scoreboard within the MMOD player you may need to upgrade to the latest version of Flash. Please
click here to go to the AdobeFlash Player Download Center for the latest version.
Q. Why don't I see the video, even if my computer meets the minimum system requirements?
A. For Windows Media or Vista operating systems: your player may be missing some files.
Click here for instructions from the MozillaZine Knowledge Base for the patch to download those files.
Please note: Our internal testing indicates that you will need to follow the instructions labelled Installing the new plugin AND Restoring the standard plugin. For additional information, please see the next FAQ below regarding the "ERROR" message.
Q. Why am I getting this message? "ERROR: You may have problems viewing NCAA® March Madness® on Demand."
A. For optimal viewing of the live show, we recommend Internet Explorer 6+ with Windows Media Player 9+. The player also works in Mozilla Firefox. If your system meets the above criteria and you are receiving this message, you may require a patch to Windows Media Player.
Issue: The Windows Media Player plug-in for Firefox is not included in Windows Vista and Windows XP Media Center Edition. Additionally the standard plug-in may be missing several necessary .dll files.
Resolution: Due to this issue, you have two options to view the player:
The simpler choice is to use Microsoft Internet Explorer to access March Madness® on Demand.
If you really want to use Firefox on Vista or Windows Media Center, then please refer to the following article for patch instructions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_Media_Player#Missing_plugin. Please note: Our internal testing indicates that you will need to follow the instructions labelled Installing the new plugin AND Restoring the standard plugin.
Q. When playing a video, why does the video image become either invisible or disappear when I click a control?
A. This is a known issue with Firefox 2.0 and above. It can be fixed by adjusting the plugin settings:
When the player is active, right-click on it and select 'Options...'
At the bottom of the window should be a 'Video Acceleration' option. Change it from full to half (or to zero, if needed) by moving the slider.
Q. If I am outside of the United States can I still access NCAA March Madness on Demand?
A. We do not restrict your access to NCAA March Madness on Demand while you are outside of the United States. However, you may encounter issues with your Internet service provider or regulatory restrictions which may prevent or otherwise interfere with your access to NCAA March Madness on Demand.
